Description These Abstract Striped Mixed Set of Eco Dinner Candles from British Colour Standard are all hand-poured in Indonesia with environmentally friendly 100% Stearin wax.  In a great range of popular colour ways the candles are all made from eco friendly materials including stearin wax  (a naturally hard vegetable extract wax the burns very slowly with a long toxin free flame) and a wick made from pure cotton (lead and metal free) and colours that are all derived using eco dyes. These slim, striped style candles come in a pack of 6 and have a burn time of 8-9 hours. Their elegant striped design complements the solid colours in the range and they come packed in a new multi-hole pack perfect for gifting. These beautiful candles will add a real colour pop to your home. The owners of Designed in Colour found an old British Standard colour palette chart dating back to the 1930s in an Oxfam shop and decided to buy the copyright to the range so that they could design a range of candles and other homeware using the unique colours.  All of the colours in the range have a significance to the old British empire (the gunmetal grey candles for example are the exact colour of the old submarines!).
